IBPS Clerk is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection to select candidates for the clerical cadre in multiple Government as well as Public Sector banks all over the country. The IBPS Clerk 2018 exam will be conducted on two levels- preliminary exam and mains. No interview process is required for the selection to the post of Clerk. Merit List is made based on the cumulative score of both Preliminary Examination as well as Mains Examination.

The dates for conducting IBPS Clerk 2018 Preliminary Examination is 8th, 9th, 15th and 16th December 2018 while that of Mains Examination is 20th January 2019.

The application fees for IBPS Clerk CWE 2018 exam is Rs. 600/- for candidates belonging to General Category. For candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category, the application fee is reduced to Rs. 100/-
The number of vacancies have been reduced to 7883 as compared to the vacancy of last year that was around 22,711 as per the recent official notification released by IBPS. This means that the competition is going to increase and with less number of Banks participating in IBPS Clerk 2018 Exam, the selection will be really difficult.
Candidates can choose the centre of their preference while filling in the application form for IBPS Clerk 2018. The centres will be allotted to candidates based on their choice. However in case of non-availability of seats in the selected venue, IBPS can allot a different centre to the candidate.

Major changes have been observed in the Exam Pattern of IBPS Clerk 2018 Exam. The total duration and the number of questions asked in Mains Examination of IBPS Clerk 2018 Exam have been revised. In the latest update by IBPS, IBPS Clerk Mains Exam will now constitute of 190 questions that needs to be completed in a time frame of 160 minutes. Previously, Computer Aptitude and Reasoning Ability Section used to be conducted separately. But, in the recent update by IBPS, both these sections are amalgamated together and will constitute of 50 questions that needs to be solved in a time duration of 45 minutes.Both Preliminary Exam and Mains Exam will be conducted bilingually, i.e. both in English and in Hindi. The basic subjects that a candidate needs to master are Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning and English Language. The syllabus for both Preliminary Exam and the Mains Exam are different. A candidate is also required to be proficient in Computer and must have General Awareness knowledge specifically in the field of Banking.
